Out of the 3 times I’ve been pregnant I’ve never gotten the opportunity to experience my water breaking on its own. I’ve read where some people say it’s a BIG pop. For anyone who has ever experienced it will this big pop scare you?? I want to experience it whenever the time comes with this pregnancy, but if it’s scary then I’ll pass. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️

@mrs_bellamy730, yup! Pretty much until there wasn’t any left & that’s when they began the Pitocin to get me dilated, so heads up on that!

My water didn’t “pop” either. I happened to be sitting on the toilet actually peeing when my water broke (convenient) I realized it was my water once I couldn’t control the stream it just kept coming in “gushes” and the more pressure I put on my lower belly the more water cane out 🤷🏼♀️ I leaked all the way to the Baby Place and at least for another 45 minutes after I got there.

Mine broke on its own and it was huge lol. It felt like a whole gallon of water came out and as I walking into the hospital more and more kept gushing out. It’s a weird feeling but not scary ☺️

@mrs_bellamy730, it kept leaking and it didn’t have a smell. Once I got to the hospital to get checked to make sure it was my water that broke, I lost my entire mucus plug as soon as I got there.

@mrs_bellamy730 thank you lady. You're awesome too you've had babies and having another (congratulations!!) We sacrifice our bodies for new life and that in itself is a big deal. I dialeted on my own, no help, and no walking. I was fairly active during my first pregnancy. Always getting in a walk almost everyday and light exercise. Plus being pregnant in the summer and now again in the summer lol. Fortunately I didn't tear just some cuts on the inside. I did below exercises too. Also some doctor's can like massage the area to try and help prevent tearing (I heard this through some mothers who had it done)

After the gush did it just stop for a minute, and then continue or is it just a continuous leak? @swdemopulos1,

Wow!! You’re awesome!! The largest baby I’ve ever pushed out was 7lbs 11oz, & I had to have an episiotomy. And now I tear in that exact same spot everytime I give birth. I’ve never pushed any of my kids out in 10 minutes or less. @wolfnurturer,

@mrs_bellamy730 I let my body guide me plus being clueless helped lol. I thought it was Braxton Hicks so I tried to power through it and sleep haha 😂😂. My contractions were super aggressive and when they started to get closer together I called my midwife and they told me to come in. My contractions were so crazy but I still wasn't dilated took roughly 8 hours in the hospital and 10 hours at home. So glad I got to spend 10 hours at home though instead of 18 uncomfortable hours in the hospital. Less than 10 minutes of pushing a big old 8+ lbs baby.

When did you know it was time to go to the hospital? My last pregnancy the contractions were coming so fast I just knew it was time for me to push, but once I got to the hospital they made me walk around the hospital for one hour to help w/ dilation. I really could’ve stayed home longer. @wolfnurturer,

Mine wasn’t a big pop. It was just a big gush. I had a feeling it wasn’t pee so I put a pad on to keep an eye on it.

@mrs_bellamy730 yes I was confused! But I should've gone to get checked that day. Instead I just called a nurse and they told me if it's only one leak to not worry about it. But I could've gotten infected waiting like that

😂😂 Now I would love to see the look on my husband’s face, bc he puts on this act as if he is never nervous when I’m in labor. I’m sure your husband was really nervous. @kott0717,

@mrs_bellamy730 me too girl during my first pregnancy lol, this one idk what will happen but I'll probably do what I did before so I'm not laboring so long at the hospital. I did most my labor at home then the rest at the hospital.

@mrs_bellamy730, lol I didn’t know what to expect because of not experiencing it before so I wasn’t sure what was going and my poor husband he was clueless on what to do, lol.

That’s how it happened for me all 3 times. My doctor did it once I was admitted into the hospital. I’m sure it’s very exciting with a gush also. @kott0717,

That’s not bad. I could handle that. Were you at home when it happened or out in public? @tinyhumansbitch,

@mrs_bellamy730 yeah I was looking for a pop to happen and it didn't happen for me but it was a lot of "water". I don't think it pops like a balloon sound lol that's really loud but from what I've heard it's like if you pop your bones.
Jasmine·

LOL... I bet you had a confused look on your face the entire time. I could handle that also. Just thinking of a pop makes me nervous. @misscoco,

With my first two I didn’t experience it breaking until I was already at the hospital and the doctor did it. But with my last pregnancy I got to experience it, mine wasn’t the big pop I just used the restroom and laid back down and a gush of fluid came out. I was thinking to myself damn I just pissed myself after using the bathroom. I cleaned my self up and laid back down and the contractions had already started he day before but they were getting worse. Go to the hospital they did the swab test to see if it was my water they tell me no and send me home. I was home 45 minutes sitting on the couch and another fish of water. I was like ok Im in labor and if I go back and they send me home I’m going to flip! I had already flipped on the nurses cause I was up there the night before because my contractions were 2-4 minuets apart and to the point I couldn’t walk. But luckily my doctor was on duty when we back up there and she kept me. Turned out I had a 4 later sack and my first layer had ruptured the first time and the rest had started to rupture the second time. So no I didn’t experience the pop and I’ve heard most women don’t experience the pop it’s either a slow leak or a gush

Oh ok... When I hear big pop I think of a balloon bursting. I can handle a leak vs. a pop. @wolfnurturer,

Well mine was totally different. I didn't even know for sure but I suspected it. I was lifting my 2yr old out of her crib and I felt water coming down my leg lol. Of course I was just like wtf did I just pee? Then I ran to the bathroom and heard a bubbling sound it was weird. I just thought I peed and farted girl. Lol
Mother Of Him&Her·
My water broke on it's own but it wasn't any "big pop" for me. It was just very leaky. I wasn't sure it even broke, I was thinking it would be like how everyone says lol. It wasn't. This second pregnancy I'm super curious.
