not sure if my son is eating too much or too little. he always seems hungry but it’s like im always feeding him. how many oz how often should a 1month old have?? i usually give 3oz formula then breastfeed 30min. it seems sometimes it’s enough n sometimes it’s not.

@thequeen, oh wow. i understand how that is though. my sons dad is 6ft and has some men close to 7ft in his family
@lavender13, My aunt just had her son recently. He’s 6 weeks old eating 6 ounces!!! He weighed 12lbs at his 1 month checkup!! They said he’s totally healthy, just a BIG boy! (His dad is 6’4)
My son would scream cry after I fed him bu just make sure you pace feeding him so he's not just swollen it and not know his full
4 weeks is when they usually go through a growth spurt and so they start eating more! Totally normal!
@bayou_donna, i feed him every 3hrs but it seems he’s ready to eat again after 2hrs if he doesn’t sleep well.
Sounds like you are feeding him well. Why do you think he always hungry. How often do you feed/nurse him?
( Keep in mind breastmilk is easily digestible, which in turn causes us to nurse often. )
Their appetites change daily but my son always seemed so hungry too. He ate 4oz every 2 hours when he was born. It was crazy and he grew like a weed!!! I wouldn’t worry too much. This is perfectly normal and just keep feeding him everytime he wants to eat
