Having the sweep today does it hurt and does it really bring on labour?? I have had cramps all night

I'm in labour only 2cm at 7am this morning but hospital sent me home in alot of pain atm xx

They're not that bad, a little painful but once you've felt contractions and labour it'll seem insignificant lol. And for me it brought on labour within 2 days and I was 3 weeks early.
I had one after my waters broke and she really went for it and I found it quite painful. Did start contractions off within 20 minutes though!
@chantelandbump they do insert there fingers and sweep the membranes around your water an baby's iv had about 5 in total they don't hurt to bad just uncomfortable I had one or two while I was actually in labor there worth a go they didn't help me actually go into labour but helped my cervix thin about sounds like your well on your way into labor anyway the sweep might just be the little thing that speeds it up for you x @chantelandbump

I found them uncomfortable. Have you every had a smear test? Its exactly like that
I had one with my first it wasn’t painful just uncomfortable me, If it works it depends on your body xx

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
