Moms of 2-3 year olds who fall asleep on their own, how long after putting them down does it take for them to fall asleep? Also, do they wake up throughout the night?
Science! My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

Can holding your newborn before and while they sleep create of habit of them needing to be held in order to fall and stay asleep? 😭 my son won't stay asleep unless I'm holding him. The minute I put him down he starts fidgeting and waking up.

Depends if they wanna fight it out or restless i just put my 2 yr old to bed at 830 and she still up getting outta bed to play with something i give at least an hour

@_sheriee only when she is sick. She'll wake up for a lil and cry but she is the type of child who hate naps and bedtime so it might be easier on you.. im considering asking her doctor if i can give her melatonin at night to help her sleep more peacefully

@mamibear , I'm considering the same. Takes us a minimum of an hour for nap or bedtime even if she's drained and she wakes 1-2 times a night. She doesnt cry, just wakes up having a full blown conversation.

Mine has been doing the same, and also takes at least an hour to go to sleep. I had to put a lock on her door for at night because she'd wake up and roam the house and get into stuff, and also it scared me that she'd unlock and get out the door. She'll play for 2-3 hrs sometimes. Plus she wakes up at night sometimes, and she wakes up early in the mornings at that. Ik what you're going through. Glad to know I'm not alone with this. It's rough and makes me even more moody... Ugh I hope this phase passes SOON! our daughter will be 3 March 18th.

Also I do occasionally give her grape flavored melatonin chewables too.

@shannonmallory93 , our girls have the same birthday lol. But yeah, it worries me. She always looks tired and she has issues with growth so I'm sure she needs sleep.

@_sheriee mine is picky so she don't grow much either, and that's crazy, then they're the exact same age lol, my birthday is March 22nd, and my dads is March 5th lol my daughter woke me up at 5:30am ugh

@_sheriee I'm not sure she hasn't been weighed in a Lil while, i'm guessing about 25lbs maybe a Lil more.
