Hi ladies. I'm wondering if anybody else has had problems with urinary tract infections and what antibiotics you can be placed on? I've only had two, but they put me on a prophylactic antibiotic to keep them away and apparently that isn't working too well. I also have an allergy to sulfur-based antibiotics so now I'm faced with intravenous antibiotics at the hospital or deal with the allergic reaction which is a rash that makes me want to just scream and cry all day. I'm only 6 months pregnant so now they want to send me to an infectious disease doctor in case I run out of antibiotics that are susceptible or that I can take based on my allergy. Anyone else have anything remotely like this and if so what were you put on? I knew this was going to probably be something that happens, but now they're saying it could lead to preterm labor and I didn't really expect that.
