I was induced at 37 weeks 4 days for preeclampsia. I got to the hospital. Checked in. A nurse came in and went through a birth plan with me. Took stats of me and Baby. Hooked me up to the contraction and fetal monitors. Gave me a light meal before starting pitocin. Got hooked up to that and then it was a waiting game. They check you for dialation about once every hour or 2. About 4 hours later my water broke. Ended up throwing up during transition. Pushed for 3 hours. Total time spent from starting pitocin to delivery for me was 9 hours. I got the epidural and the iv pain meds. I couldn’t feel the pain. Just the pressure.

My third I was induced and it was horrible! Over 22 hours in labor and painful. I hope your induction goes a lot better!

Terrible! I had awful contractions. Everyone has a different experience, but it results in your baby. You'll do great!
