I know 3 women who were pregnant and still had periods every month for a few months. They all had healthy babies. And one of those women had her periods with all 3 pregnancies.
@morganmommy79 thank you. Do you know if they tried to say it was a miscarriage. I went to the ER Saturday because I was bleeding but they said my hcg was at 28. Now the bleeding is less but not clots or anything. I had two types of ultrasounds but they didn't see anything but I was barely 6 weeks so it's very likely it couldn't be seen
Bleeding during pregnancy can be "normal" for some people. It just needs to be checked out. I know 3 woman who bleed what some may call a period for months into pregnancy and all had healthy babies. I would wait like 2 weeks and get another ultrasound. By then there "should" be a baby and a heartbeat
@jaixi, try again later with the dr. to be sure. It's so hard to say. Your hcg level seems a little low tho for 5 weeks. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and 3 days and my levels were more around 135.

You can't have your period during pregnancy. If you bleed during pregnancy, you might need to go see your doctor

^ yes any bleeding during pregnancy should be checked out.

A period can occur at the beginning of your pregnancy it happened to my sister. Just call your doctor so they can be sure all is fine.

Bleeding isn't normal in early pregnancy, unfortunately most of the time it means miscarriage.

@jaixi, lower hcgs usually indicate miscarriage. I don’t think her levels lowered but I’m not sure. She did have a healthy baby girl though

I did with my now 19 years old daugther I bleed a full blown period for about 6 months
