So we got baby girl 2 new cups yesterday since she’s not took a bottle in over a month and has only used one kind of sippy. She now has one with a straw and one of the 360 cups. She has no idea what. To do with either of them I sat with her for a little while yesterday and tried to show her how to use them but of course she got tired of it after about 10 mins and just left it to go play. Any ideas on how I can help her get the hang of the new cups? I don’t want to be over pushy with it and make her not want them at all but I want to keep offering them and help her learn how to use them..

We had this same problem when our son was that age. We started with the straw because we thought it might be easier and closest to how you would drink out of a bottle. We let him play with it and after a few days of experimenting he figured it out. The 360 is a bit different and that one he didn't quite get until maybe a month or so after. Again, we just let him play and he managed to understand them. :)

@danaorr87, that’s what I’ve been letting her do I’ll show her how to do it a couple times then let her try Which she usually tried once or twice then just plays with it

I taught my son how to use a straw cup at a restaurant. I took the straw that was in my water, put my finger on it to hold the water in, then put the other end in this mouth, decreasing how much I removed my finger each time. After about 3 or 4 tried he figured out the straw

@lizibear84, her daddy does that every once in a while with her when we’re out but I never thought about that teaching her I’ll have to try it a little bit at home
