Tbh sometimes I worry about Aiden being almost 18 months old and not really having any words but then I see some kids not really say much till closer to 2, especially boys. He understands much of what I say he just doesn’t try to repeat it. I’m definitely going to mention it at his next well child appointment I’m just wondering if any other moms dealt with the same thing!?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
How much weight did you mommas gain during your pregnancies? My doc says I need to slow down, which I understand and can do that... I guess I just let it get away from me! I’m 22w5d and have gained 27 pounds 😳😳. I’m going to start meal planning and really watching what I eat!
ssooo... my Daughter’s Father shows up at the hospital. what am I supposed to say? I really just want to sit here and not say anything baby girl is in my arms so he can’t hold her.
So I think my husband has been trying to tell me something without telling me if that makes sense. The reason I say that is cuz there is this chick that would leave us alone and he told me to tell her yesterday that he send me a letter saying he wanted a divorce. But than when I call him back after talking to her. I ask if he really wants to get a divorce and he just laughs and says no I don't. I can't believe you would think that. But it's not the first time he has made me do this with another woman. I did this in August too. I just really hope he's not goin to do this. I don't know what to think.

My 15 month now can pit two words together and talk really good. But my oldest son d idnt start til around 24 months. I was told yesterday at my son's 15 month appointment that a lot of kids don't start until 2 so I think your little guy is probley fine . Mine has siblings to learn from and read books a lot that helps

@mrsgoulding, it’s so hard not to compare your child to others around their same age so I worry myself. Aiden will go get me things he wants rather than point to them or he will try to use my hand to get it rather than try to say what he wants. I really hope he starts finding the interest to talk soon! 😕

It's hard not to compare kids. My daughter didn't have many words til just before a year. Then they just came. We read lots of books. There's also a non-profit free book a month for kids under 5.
In my area it's run by the united way through Dolly Parton. And has targeted the communities that are lower income. Not sure if the program is in other communities or something similar to this. We also go to story hour at the local library. I stopped a few weeks a because of being so close to my due date and winter but I plan on going back in the spring. My daughter loves it and then she plays with the babies/toddlers who are her age after!

@gracelynnsmama, Aiden is part of the imagination library! And we do read books throughout the day and always before bed! I definitely try my hardest to teach him.

I wouldn't stress it at all. My daughter didn't say her first actual word till 18months. Once she hit two it's like the switch turned on and she hasn't shut up since! Lol.

@mrsgoulding, hey that’s better than Aiden! Aiden says dadada and occasionally mama usually when he wants to nurse. Other than that nothing 🤷🏼♀️

Let him watch educational shows, read to him and and point out objects, another thing when he points at something try to say what it is at least 3 times get him to say something, even a noise before you give it to him. He'll eventually catch on.
