Does anyone else argue with their significant other about baby names? If we have a girl I want to name her Ayla Susan, after the main character from The Earths Children series(my favorite) and my grandmother who was important to me. If we have a boy I want to name them Thomas James, after my little brother who passed when he was 5 and my uncle who OD’d before I was born. My partner keeps making name suggestions that are just “I think it’s a cool name” and he doesn’t understand why these names have so much meaning for me.

Unfortunately you have to compromise. Maybe using one of the names that you want and letting him pick another one? We both agreed that the middle names of our children would be names after our family members but that first names would be something different or new. I have Kenzie Ann Ann after my grandma. And our boy will be Eli Christopher Christopher being after his dad. If we had another girl the middle name would be Lynn for his mom and grandma and if we have another boy we haven’t decided yet. You gotta compromise with him. When I was growing up I always wanted Riley Ann and Emerson Joseph I never even thought that I had to put in consideration that the man I meet might not like those names. My husband actually did like them but by the time I met him I was kind of over those names haha. It’ll work out.

Me and my bd argued all the time. Him and his mom had a name and kept telling me thats what we were naming name. Like I wasnt the one carrying the child. So I showed them and named him what I wanted lol. I let him choose the middle name but not what they originally picked and I gave my son my last name 😂😂
