Hey I know the doctors say you shouldn't eat deli meat when pregnant but I'm dying for a roast beef sub have any of you Mama's had deli meat while pregnant and was everything ok????
How many of you are deli meat while pregnant I’m craving a subway melt form subway but hate to breakdown and eat deli meat.. the struggle
anyone eat deli meat and hot dogs? if so do you heat up the deli meat first??

I thought while pregnant you aren’t supposed to eat Deli meat unless you cook it , If I want a sandwich I always cook my deli meat .

I asked my OB this same question. She said that if it’s like fresh cut from the deli in the store it’s okay, and if you can’t/don’t have any of that then it’s recommended to heat it up

@futureme123 there just was a post asking this question today.... i was told the danger was if you had the deli meat cut by a store that didn't properly sanitize their cutter. I've been eating subway...

I wouldn’t eat roast beef more because of the fact your meat should be well done not because of the deli meat rules

I've eaten it my whole pregnancy, all three pregnancies. They come out with something new not to eat all the time, I just recently heard this one

I craved it from 7 months on. I ate it all. Lol but heat it first if it makes u feel better.

It's because of listeria. Luncheon meats and hotdogs can be contaminated. Recently I believe it was Bar S hotdogs that were recalled. You just never know.
