Has anyone ever been in the delivery alone? I only have one person who I would be comfortable with being in there with me. My best friend of eight years. And she is okay with it other than the fact that she has 3 kids of her own one being her preemie born at 34 weeks in October. I completely understand that she may not be able to have a baby sitter because I know her and her situation. She just doesn't have anyone who could babysit in a moment's notice. But like I said she is the only person I would be comfortable with being in the room. The baby's father is not going to be there at all, my mother is not a part of my life, and my grandmother would be willing but I wouldn't be comfortable being so exposed wirh my grandmother and she is the biggest worrier so I feel lik3 she would make the stress worse by worrying so much. With my daughter, her father was with me but have since broken up and this baby has a different father who has not been supportive. I'm just nervous about being in the room alone.
I was in labor by myself. I even drove myself to the hospital in active labor. 😂 My husband got there right when I was about to push. All he did was stress me out though, so I'd prefer if he was just a tad bit later. Since I did labor alone, with no stress, I feel as if it were a super quick one and my daughter was born in 2 pushes.
@brown.sugar I would love to have a doula but I can't afford anything Medicaid doesn't cover. Mississippi Medicaid doesn't cover midwives or doulas.
