I don't believe cosmetic procedures on babies should be done. My son wasn't circumcised and I am so happy with my decision. We were made how we were made for a reason there's no need to mutilate our childs genitals just because they were born a male.

You’re welcome. If you’re interested in care information (how to care for an intact- not circumcised- penis) let me know. The main reason intact boys get infections is because of improper care. My son is 1 and hasn’t had a single issue in the diaper area. And with proper care, he’ll stay infection free and healthy. :)

I did not circumcise my son. For many reasons. Studies show how extremely painful the procedure is for babies. There is a study that shows the trauma changes the way the baby’s brain works and it never goes back to pre-circumcision. All of the myths about circumcised penises being cleaner have been debunked. Also, it’s completely unnecessary and I don’t believe in chopping a part of my child off without their consent.

Sometimes the procedure “goes well” and everything “seems fine”. My son’s dad had a routine circumcision when he was a newborn and now as an adult he only has sensation in 20% of his penis. Also- babies DO die from circumcision. 117 per year.

There ARE risks. And you have to decide whether or not the risks are worth it to you.

@aandbi14 perfectly fine. When he came back to the room he wanted just me to hold him for about 10 mins but he didnt cry. After he just had me he was fine to let anyone else touch him and he healed so fast within a week I was able to stop putting Vaseline on him and just do a diaper so far everything still looks great and he has shown no signs of anything being wrong

Don't let anyone talk you into it if you feel like your son doesnt need it. I personally see no problem with it and I got my son circumcised the day after he was born. I also see no problem with people who choose not to do it. I circumcised because that's what my fiance and I agreed was best and also for religious reasons.
