Did anyone have a preemie baby my son came at 31 week 3 days and he's still in the nicu been there almost 3 weeks just…

@mamiiscorp, I was saying I was in the hospital a week. But thank you so much and I'm glad your little one is home and doing good now I'm pretty sure she's all big now.

@mechelle444, don’t feel like a bother. And the way I see it, you’re teaching your 1 yr old to be strong but that it’s also ok to cry and be sad. If she doesn’t ever see you cry then she may not know it’s ok to feel that way sometimes.

@mechelle444 she stayed in for 83 days . and ooh no don't stay a week. If you can a night will do.

@mechelle444, Awwwwww I totally understand.. 45 minutes is a lot but definitely worth it. I know it’s overwhelming. Things will only get better hun. Just be positive. You can always message me if you need someone to speak to.. only a inbox away

@skysmommy04, he has pulled his out twice. I hope they're not lazy because that's the only thing stopping him from coming home he has to take 8 consecutive bottles. He falls asleep sometimes when I'm breast feeding him but they say don't get discouraged it's normal but My emotions just all over the place and anxiously waiting on him to come home.

@mamiiscorp, I wish I could do that but I have a 1 y/o as well and it was so hard being away from her for a week in the hospital.i do skin to skin and hold him all the time and pump and take him milk. How long did your baby stay in the nicu ?

@dinamarie2604, . I go to the hospital everyday but it's a 45 min drive and then we can't really take his sister so we can stay long but maybe 2 hours while we she with my grandma or my mom. Yes I talk to my SO and my best friend it helps but I still get really sad at times and then people are always asking about him so it's hard to talk about with everyone and they're asking for pictures it's overwhelming and I don't want people to see him with a tube in his nose. Thank you I pray he's home soon.

That’s amazing you’re great!! And that weight gain is beautiful keep it up! My daughter got to a point where she would pull it out some nurses are lazy and don’t have patience to feed when the bottle gets introduced be there and help and baby will fall asleep yes but it’s ok it’s normal

@skysmommy04, yea I didn't get to heal much but I feel fine I had to have him natural no medicine because he came so fast. I go see him every day we so skin to skin and I hold him everyday he's gaining weight he dropped down 3 oz making him 3lbs 5oz but now he's 4lbs 6oz. He's growing well just need him to feed on his own starting today so he can come home.

Just keep you spirits up ,do as much kangaroo time and compassionate touches techniques you can . I also pumped and spent nights there ,in the parent room and also a cot next to her when she was there .

@db413, he is doing great they were so amazing and said he was actually big for to be 31 weeks. I try not to cry or be down so much because I still have a 1y/o daughter but it's really hard. I know it's normal but I feel like I'm bothering everyone when I cry.

My daughter wasn’t a preemie but she had to stay in the hospital for almost a week. I cried all the time and went to the hospital everyday until she came home. Praying and talking to my SO helped or just talking to someone helped. Keeping yourself busy helps also.. He’ll be home soon hun.

I did my daughter came at 35 we were there 5 weeks it was stressful but know they are taking care of your baby I wish I would have cared for myself a bit more in those times really I always felt guilty if I wasn’t there everyday all day but it’s a time where I needed to heal and get my kind right for my baby. Skin to skin helped her immensely as soon as you can do it my daughter dropped to 4lbs so it took a day or two for me to hold her because it was hard but eventually it was the best ever she was fine didn’t need a thing just kept her to grow and progress 💓 be strong and know your love will be home with you soon

I haven’t been through it, but it sounds like he’s doing great. And as for your feelings and emotions they are normal. You have every right to cry and feel down. But he’s breathing on his own and he can keep his temp stable. He’s doing amazing!
