Just realized Dominic is already grown out of all his newborn clothes and he’s not even born yet. We also washed everything and threw away the tags. I’m agitated.
My son was almost 8 lbs and wore newborn clothes for 3 months lol just depends on their body shape. He was around 13lbs when he finally grew out of them
Did you guys have high risk ultrasounds? My doc had me go in for a high risk ultrasound yesterday because he thought baby was measuring a bit big. Come to find out the high risk ultrasound said he definitely is big. They said if he’s not out by Christmas they will induce me.
I wouldn't go by their estimate. They told me my oldest would be 9lbs and he was only 7 and that's being born at 41 weeks
@chellabellz856, oh mannnn! That does suck! 😲 I would’ve just washed the onesies. I feel like the Newborn clothes are a waste of money because the baby grows soooooo fast. It’s like you’re better off w a 0-3 months you know. But then I dislike when babies look sloppy in they’re clothes too lol can’t win!!!
@chocolatemomma, how does that even happen?? They told me the smallest he could be is 8lbs 9oz.
@melinanae, ugh I hope so. I spent so much money on these clothes and I wasn’t even the one who wanted to wash them all yet. My friend insisted on it and now I feel like I’m screwed 😭. But this is exactly why I was going to wait to wash everything.
That's not always true. My son was supposedly "9.6 lbs " ,but at birth he was 7.2 LBS.
@chellabellz856, I know I know I panicked too with my son but it was totally fine just didn’t last very long lmao
I’ve found that between the different brands newborn sizes fit differently. My son is long so he’s out of them now at 6 weeks, but if he wasn’t so long then he would still fit them. You might end up lucky!
