How many moms use zofran or generic zofran for morning sickness?

@scottiesmommy did every thng go good with yur kids ? I read somethng tbat it can cause birth defects ans im so scared now. Waiting for my doctor to call me bavk

I used Zofran and my baby is fine.

@kainsworth44 how long did u take it for?

I am using it right now and I asked my doctor and she said as long as you don’t use it throughout the whole pregnancy then the baby will be fine that it’s a class c drug so it’s more of a risk

I understand the feeling this is my first child so I’ve did everything by the book but I hadorning sickness from the time I conceived till bout two days ago so I was tired of it and mine wasn’t only in the morning it was all day so I was willing to do anything to eat just something but I still have bouts of it but as long as the drug your taking isn’t like a class d or e your baby will be fine it’s just more of a risk than a class a drug but my doctor tried me on vitamin b6 pills with unisom and it helped some just make sure you take it at night bc it’ll make you go to sleep

@klcreller nothing else worked for mu morning sickness and if i try taking pills ill just puke them up. I reallu liked how zofran melted away

They do have a melt away unisom and gummy version of b6 if that helps my cousin is pregnant also and that’s what she had to do

I use zofran. Was in the hospital a few days ago with horrible morning sickness couldn't hold any food down not even water.

@klcreller im on medicaid and i doubt they will pay for that tho

@caseysmommy92 I understand that. I am a little frustrated about that too. I hope the morning sickness doesn't last all pregnancy. Cause I'm in my second trimester still dealing with it.

@kwelleford yup same. In just gonna have to deal with it i guess because i dont wnna be worried my whole pregnancy about birth defects or holes in his heart. Ugh this sucks

I believe they gave me 20 pills. So for about a month. My morning sickness lasted from week 6 until about week 12.

@kainsworth44 they gave me enough refills for my whole pregnancy.

@caseysmommy92 did you have morning sickness with your first child? I only used the Zofran at work or if it was really bad. And I never took more than 1 a day. I remember waking up one day and feeling like a brand new person. Never had morning sickness after that. But I did throw up a lot during my labor.

@kainsworth44 nope only with this pregnancy. I have it so bad i cant keep food or water down. It worked si good for me but i jist talked to the doctor and ot does have a lot higher risk for birth defects and holes in heart

@caseysmommy92 I hope it goes away soon! I dont miss those days and it scares me to even think about having another baby. I would go to work and come home to sleep all day. It was miserable. The end of the second trimester was my favorite part of pregnancy. I felt good and I had a cute little bump. Then I started swelling at 32 weeks.

@kainsworth44 yah im gonna stop taking them tomrrow and see how it goes... im ginna try getting on differnt kind but idk if ill able to keep pills down
