Yess I had to take it until I gave birth lol it made me super constipated though.
@gianasmom yeah because I couldn't stop throwing up lol I started at 7 weeks. This is with my second lol my first didn't give me these problems.
@gianasmom I was hesitant too but the nausea I had was debilitating.i lost twenty lbs I started taking it when I was like ten weeks
okay thanks a ton, it shouldn’t be so bad then because I’m a little over 8 weeks
@gianasmom yes. I'm sure you and your baby will be fine. Talk to your ob more about it the next you're seen
Zofran is the meds for nausea right?
They normally give that or *vitamin b6*. Zofran is just stronger I believe.
@gianasmom it honestly didn't do anything for me, I felt like it made it worse 😂 but speak with your OB so they can make the proper medical call
They usually don't use it unless you need it so if they're prescribing they probably think it's safer for you. Taking zofran and being able to keep down fluids is much safer than no zofran and no fluids for baby! I would call your OB to see what your doctor thinks but take it if you need it for sure. I was super worried about using zofran but it's been a savior.
I did, HOWEVER I had hyperemesis and I only took it after I tried every other medication and over the counter remedy they had available and my vomiting still wasn’t controlled. It should be a last effort medication and not the first try in my opinion.
