Depo is the worst birth control ever soon as i got off my one and only shot i got pregnant a couple months after for baby girl

All I know is I will NEVER get on the DEPO again! 😒 this is ridicules the sad thing my dr didn't tell me it would stay in my system even when I stop it I thought it was like all other birth controls u stopped and your able to get pregnant again. This is crazy! I'm really upset that no one told me this.

Omg I was like this when I got off and my cycle still ain't fully normal

See I was told that if I went to the dr to get the birth control pill and take them it would regulate my period back I was gonna try it but I know I'm gonna have to make sure I'm not pregnant before which I was gonna get them to draw blood and do it that way to find out quicker. Then tell me and if not try that method.@mommywifelifestyle,

@daniellewinfield17 its probably old blood. You may get your period soon or it could just be your hormones trying to balance out again causing you to spot. I spotted while on the depo and my first period after was for 2 weeks then it didn't come the next month then spotted and the month after it finally was a normal period and kept that way currently

@daniellewinfield17 yeah you really should try to wait till your cycle becomes regular again. That will also help predicting ovulation. My husband and I wanted to start actively trying in May 2018 thats why stopped my shot in March so would have plenty of time to regulate my system and start ovulating again. I hope I get pregnant next month really but who knows what will happen.

@mommywifelifestyle, no😩 I've been spotting really bad but it's been really dark blood. I spotted a whole 2 weeks last month.

@daniellewinfield17 have you got your period since you have been off of it. It can take awhile really.

See I was supposed to get another shot a month ago I was due for one but I didn't go because I wanted me and my husband to try @mommywifelifestyle, so the last shot I got was over 4 months ago.

It depends if you are ovulating. The depo is in your system for 3 months but can be in your system a lot longer. I had my last shot in March I didn't get my period till July it just started becoming regular in September and that's when i started ovulating. My doctor told me to give it a year from My last shot as that's how long it can take to become fully out of your system. Also if you test to early you can get a false negative. You really should see if you are ovulating. There are plenty of ovulation prediction kits you could try.

@chinaramirez1994, yeah well right now my body is all messed up being only off the depo a month so I'm scared of the possibility of even getting pregnant with it being just only a month! 😫 so idk if I was ovulating or not. 🤔 probably not sadly😏
