I have a question for the moms who do only formula. My baby is having a really hard time trying to poop because of the formula. What can I do so he can poop?
@skylersmommy11916, that's the formula my son is on right now and it's giving him a hard time pooping
I had my son in Enfamil Gentlease and he never had an issue... Walmart even has a generic of that too called parents choice gentle and they are basically the same thing.
You'll have to play around with different formulas. My girl was on soy for a while but then it started constipating her real bad so we switched back to similac advance. So switching formula can have drastic chances. Also for quick relief you can try stimulating baby with a tummy massage and or a thermometer. But that option can be messy
@mommiesaremagical14, that's what I thought when his doctor said that I'm like there has to be some formula that can help him. But thank you I'm gonna change his formula and see if it helps him a little
@mommiesaremagical14, it's crazy how expensive the formula is seriously 😒 and I did told his doctor about it and all she said was that all the formulas are gonna constipated baby's because of all the stuff it has in it
Change the formula there’s formulas to help . Try similac total comfort my niece had trouble as well this helped !
It's not uncommon for exclusively formula fed babies to become constipated. Best thing to do is talk to your baby's doctor about switching formulas. There are some that are gentler on the digestive system. The only things I can think of to try to help him poop is to massage his belly and do exercises with him like moving his legs in the bicycle motion and possibly giving him a warm bath before you do these things to help relax his muscles which can also help him poop easier. Mom top: ask your son's pediatrician for formula samples. Not just once but every time you go. Whatever formula for child is on if they have the samples they'll give you some. It's just a way to save a little bit of money because I think we all know how expensive that crap is.
@juanacabanas987 oh well then maybe the Similac would be better
