How big of a difference is discharge compared to losing your mucus plug?  I'm just worried I've been loosing my mucus plug this whole time and not discharging and I don't want to catch an infection because you can,  can't you?

Your mucus plug can regrow multiple times. My OB said your music plug doesn't even matter, losing it isn't a sign of labor. Like the ladies said, it's only a risk once your water breaks.

Not until your water breaks it doesn’t matter if you lose your mucus plug I’ve been losing mine for 1.5 weeks now
