At the doctor yesterday she checked me and said I’m STILL not dilated.. I haven’t lost my mucus plug...but baby is head down! How do I help dilate?? I’d prefer not being induced..(personal reason)
@ashbryant0094
I just googled it.... It's sad and actually very rare . Sorry that happened to your friend though
@ashleydunn, amniotic aneurism may not be the exact term but pretty much the amniotic fluid got in her blood and it went to her brain and it was instant.
@ashbryant0094 being anxious is normal especially considering that. I have never heard of anything like that and I was still super nervous both times thinking what if.
@ashleydunn, the reason I don’t want to be induced is because I lost a very close friend during child birth. She was induced by her doctor - something went wrong and it caused an amniotic aneurism which killed her instantly. The baby is fine and absolutely beautiful but ever since then I’m just terrified
@ashleydunn, the heart specialist found something called a trigeminy and bigeminy.
Sitting in hot water helps dilate , riding on bumpy roads also help dilate ,
@ashbryant0094 Lol that also helps especially with contractions ☺
The only thing I hated about induction is it made me shake but that's about it. My daughter and me didn't have any issues other than that
@ashbryant0094
Honestly everyone reaxts differently to being induced. I had no issues with mine. Fetal heart specialist? Did they see something in the ultrasound?. My nephew has a heart condition but they didn't find it until he was 1
@venomadams956, I took a shower and was squatting with the hot water running over me. Lol
@ashleydunn, I’m scheduled to be induced on the 29th if he isn’t here because of him being so big. Also the fetal heart specialist suggested it. I just don’t want to be induced. I’m beyond terrified about being induced. 😔
-You can have a lot of sex (only if you are in the mood)
-Walk a lot
-drink a lot of water so you can go pee more often
-I also heard eating fresh pineapple will also help soften the cervix more, some women say it will induce labor too
You still have 4 weeks before you gotta worry about induction momma.
With my first I was induced but with my second I wasn't.
I opted not to check for dilation until I was 38 weeks with my second because it really don't tell you much and make ya anxious
Contraction questions
I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.
How can I tell if I dilated??# first time mom.
How do you know if you are dilated? Does your water have to break so you can be dilated? I'm 38 weeks and I still don't feel labor stuff lol
I been walking this week so hopefully Monday I've dilated some!
Are there any effective ways & things I can do to help soften and dilate my cervix faster? At my appointment my doctor said I was MAYBE a fingertip dilated and 60% effaced.
@ashleydunn, thank you! Yes it’s very rare and the hospital are supposed to train monthly for it but it’s a very quick thing.
