I put sudocrem on first then vaseline on top. Then when she wee’s it doesn’t come off so quickly. Was told to do this by our community nurse as our LO is on antibiotics and has bad nappy’s with it xx

@bonnieb haha, I'm sure she'll wee everywhere :) after she started walking I've not been letting her walk around bare bummed nearly enough :(

@bonnieb sounds great! We've had a terrible rash a week ago, I wish I knew then, even bepanthen didn't cut it for the first 2 days. She cried and held her bottom each time she did a poo, and unfortunately she did loads of poo as she is teething :(( she was in agony when I was wiping it too, I had to go and wash it in the sink (which she also hated, but not quite as much as long g as the water was cool) while she was still covered in it :/

Do you just put a nappy straight on or do you need to let them run around with starched bum first and get it perfectly dry?

I've never used metanium, will give it a go as well. So far I've found that bepanthen works best!

I use the mentanium (yellow cream) when noahs gets really bad, honestly works its so good for when there really bad. stinks though haha x

I've only had to use it like twice on Max as as sudocrem is usually enough. I used it more with Morgan. Every time he was teething he'd get really sore and metanium was the only cream that helped. The yellow tube one btw. It's smelly but works. You can get an everyday metanium (white tube) which is basically sudocrem.

@sara-lou86, thanks Hun another one to try, it’s the first time she’s had a mega red sore bum to be honest and I think I only used sudocrem years ago with my son x

I've never liked bepanthen. Always used metanium when bottom has gotten so sore sudocrem doesn't help.

@hawkie75 it's not the think sudocrem it's one for babies it's smoother and it's called soothe and protect maybe try that one it's really good

@mum2sky, yes I’d ran out of bepanthen tonight anyway and smothered her in sudocrem for bed, she was wincing bless her 😢

I use the sudocrem soothe and protect I find bepanthen too harsh i use that on my tattoos 😂 or Vaseline x
