So I can't believe I'm admitting this but I clipped my baby's skin while clipping his nails. I feel like a horrible mother. Never again.

Accidents happen. Doesn't make you a terrible mother. My fiance clipped our sons lip buckling him into his carseat. My sister clipped her sons finger. My son fell and hit his head on a table, and busted his lip once on the wall, both while I was a few feet away. Another nephew tumbled down the stairs. My friend's daughter fell off the couch and broke her elbow. None of these things make a terrible mother. They're accidents. A moment in time. Remember, because things will happen in the future and children get hurt: "Horrible mothers don't worry about being horrible."

I bit my son's nails for quite a few months lol now I clip them and have no issue !

It happens. I still kept clipping. He's 2 years old and it only happened twice. No need to give up. Maybe just do it in a room with better lighting or get brighter light bulbs.
It's okay, it has happened to almost everyone at least once. You're definitely not a bad mama!

I feel awful!! I was clipping my babies nails and accidentally made her bleed some!! First time this has happened!! I never want to clip them again!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😳
I feel like the worst mom in the world I cant control my tears I was clipping my babys toe tails and he pulled away when I started to clip down and it pulled the whole nail off its not bleeding and he didn't cry but I feel so bad
😁 I know dummy clips are a good idea I’m going to get one soon but how do you keep yours clean and how often ? they get bloody everywhere without a clip lol 😂😂

son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.
