Okay so I need some advice..
Every time somebody is pregnant in my family, like either myself or my brothers wife, my mom pressures us to name the baby Lee or have the name Lee in the baby’s name. Now my grandfather was Leland, Lee for short. He was an amazing man, and that was her father. She wants his name to live on in the grandchildren’s names. My oldest niece, her oldest grandchild’s middle name is Lee. My brother did it after my grandpa. Except it’s Leigh, to make it more feminine.
Well I’m still trying to pick out a middle name for my daughter, her name is going to be Luna and my mom keeps pressuring me to name her Luna Lee. I don’t like it, and every time she tells me to do it, I tell her no and she gets offended. Well yesterday she told me, no matter what I name my daughter she’s going to call her Lee.
Now, my mom already has that nick name for my niece because that’s her middle name. I told her, she can’t call Luna that because that’s something she already has with another one of her grandchildren. Then she got all mad at me and was saying how she can call her whatever she wants.
Am I right to be annoyed? Or do I just let her do what she wants?
Whenever she see’s my niece that’s all she calls her, at family events she’s not hayden she’s Lee. So I don’t know.
