I was a whiskey baby. I had real bad collic and the doctors didn't think I would make it past 3. It was the only way I'd sleep.

I think you're over reacting about it 😂😂 you just touch your finger in the bottle and rub it all over their gums. My momma did it to me when I was a baby and I turned out fine. I personally haven't done it with my son. I used Tylenol and Motrin walking them around and long nights awake. But it does work. I have friends who did it to their child.

@kasonsmama, there’s so many other remedies. I for 1 would never put that in my child’s mouth. It was a opinion and I sure as hell wouldn’t give a FTM that advice.

My dad did it to my son I was pissed my son was ok and I get he just dipped his finger in it but still they don’t know how much alcohol can actually harm a baby some babies would be fine with it and some can’t handle it

@mommysbabies, yes that was my thought. Because it can swell up they’re throats. But that’s just my point of view on it. I think it’s unsafe to do. I get it’s a old home remedy but there’s so many other baby sage options.

Our dentist says to just let baby chew on things

@mommysbabies, yes I did that! I bought teething toys I froze them and then used them the next day. That and frozen fruit in a mesh feeder.

I did it with my baby when she was teething only we used whisky not rum. I'm a FTM also. We didn't do it all the time only on the nights that she couldn't sleep because of the pain and Tylenol and Motrin didn't help and she hated any and all teething toys.

She now has 11 pearly whites and one more coming in. She has 3 molars already and they really weren't that bad compared to others.

@gigi.marquez1991 it took about a month of trying different things to find something that worked. And yes her molars came in quick and I didn't even know until this last one that's taking forever and causing her a lot of pain and it's making her gums bleed. She has a dentist appt on Monday so we'll see what they say

Someone recommended I did that at 3 months.. fuckkkk that. They also used to wrap opium in cotton and let babies chew on it so they would sleep/not be in pain. I'd never do it just because it was safe a long time ago.

We don’t event have alcohol in the house so my SO would be surprise when I go like we need rum for the baby. If it works for others great but I’m good we don’t 🍷🍾🍹🍻🥂🥃 so I wouldn’t try.
