Anyone else dealing with a toddler who likes to throw and slam toys? My son is 20 months and he loves to throw any and all of his toys, slam them on the ground and bang them up against walls, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc....I’m literally trying not to lose my mind because I’ve tried everything to get him to stop 😥
Yea it's just a phase. They'll move on to doing something else soon lol
@tamerabang, lol I’ve tried that too...I praised him for stopping but then he just throws another toy 🙄
I know my guy is special needs but here is what I was told.. as soon as he throws it take it, put it in a place up high where he can see it but not reach it. I used the refrigerator. As soon as the behavior stops immediately give it back and give him praise for stopping.. like positive reinforcement for the good behavior... It doesn't work all the time but it does alot..
@misscoco, I’ve been doing the same exact thing and he just continues to do it...I hope this is a phase that disappears fast 🙄
My daughter does the same thing. I just either spank her hand and tell her no or take it away and give her something else. I guess it's a phase

Definitely not throwing shade at anyone, just thought this was funny.
When I’m 35 my babies will be
16, 15, and 11
Idk if this is a little to harsh but my stepson is 2 and 7 months now the time outs are not working so I stepped it up a little and decided to take all toys away and tv away for whatever he has left of the day till bed time. Gets it taken for hitting us or throwing toys or kicking... He kicked me right in the mouth last night so he didn't get his toys till after nap and no cartoons and thats around 4pm is this to much??
Is it bad that I don't take my prenatals ?! They made me extremely sick at the beginning of my pregnancy and since I'm still throwing everything up I just don't take them 😪
is it weird that my son like to play with my daughters toys. I try to keep them separately but he still likes all her pink stuffed animals and cries when I take them away. ..ohhhh this is frustrating because he has his own toys
So my son lately has been playing super rough with his toys. Throwing them around and Slamming them and banging them into stuff ( like his big trucks and hg toys!) and I’m like baby you can’t do that. You need to be good to your toys or you are going to break them. And sometimes he gets mad or sometimes he’s like hugs/kisses, sorry! Is this normal two year old behavior???
I understand, at one point I think I had more toys on my fridge than on my floor... 🤔🤔
