so even though I switched to a maternity belly button ring like my OB suggested and I’ve been cleaning it and what not it still gets uncomfortable. I’ve had my belly button pierced for 2 & 1/2 years. Should I just remove the belly ring all together and not wear one till after I have the baby? I’m just nervous that the hole with close or get infected and not only that but I literally just bought this ring for $16 last week.. 😔

@mamamiaof2, yeah they say it’s because the hole can close and trap the infection so I would have to go to a dr to have them remove it for me if anything :/

@mamamiaof2, ugh :( then I can remove it because I heard if you remove a ring while the hole is infected it can cause a worse infection

Do you mind if I show you what it looks like because idk if it could be getting infected or not because (sorry kinda gross and TMI) but it gets crusty around it and I clean the crust off and it’s red and irritated around it like my old ring was when I first got it

Ladies I have a question.. I'm almost 7 months. I bought a flexible maternity belly ring and I feel like it may be irritating my belly button.. it is constantly itchy only on/around my belly button. Anyone else have this problem w/ the rings or is it just going to be like that from stretching in general? I also have a little dry skin on the lower part of my belly button as well. This is a pic of it w/o the ring.
who has or had their belly button pierced and would recommend taking the ring out? (i have a MATERNITY ring in)

I had mine done for 12 years when I got pregnant. Mine got really irritated and red. Took it out for my pregnancy and put it back in fine. Your skin is just more sensitive while pregnant
