Thank you. We learn a lot after our first pregnancies. I think you will be okay though. Weight gain is kinda scary, but I agree with the above comment. Baby keeps you busy. You're trying to get into a new schedule of mommy life, you forget to eat at times. You're so tired, you'd rather sleep than eat lol

@2-mommies, I’m hoping the same thing happens with me post partum. With everything that’ll keep me busy maybe the weight will just drop off naturally 😅

@breloya, congrats on your healthy second pregnancy! It sounds like you’re doing an amazing job in the weight department. ❤️I aspire to be like that for my second pregnancy.☺️ also that’s so true literally everyone tries to shove food down your throat when you’re preggy. I read that somewhere only 300+ for the second trimester and 500+ for the last trimester.. It’s just a scary experience since I’ve never weighed so much before. Like I’m coming very close to 200. I’m sure you know the feeling with your first.

Mine came off on it's own for the most part. The baby keeps me so busy that I often forget to eat. I also drink at least a gallon of water a day. I'm sure the fact that I go up and down stairs all day helps too

That's what got me with my first. Everyone tells you to eat for two, etc. Etc. That isn't true. You only need about 300 extra calories a day. So I was more mindful with what I ate this pregnancy. I didn't give into every craving. I had small, but healthy snacks in between meals... with a few unhealthy like cake or cookies every now and again. I've gained 14 pounds total so far at 37.1. But with breastfeeding, not eating too unhealthy, and even working out a couple times a week, you'll lose that in no problem.

@breloya, ya typically ppl tell me breastfeeding is what sheds all of the weight... I hope the fat storage thing is the issue... it sounds like I’ll have to practice more mindful dieting post-baby which is kinda hard since during pregnancy everyone encourages you to eat plentiful. I can see why it’s more difficult to snap back post baby since you’ve got baby blues, sleep deprivation, etc :/ I just want to get all of this over with! Lol

It came off on it's own. There's about 2-3 pounds of amniotic fluid, baby weight 6-8 pounds, breasts gain about a pound or two, your blood increases 3 pounds or so, body fluids up a couple, uterus and placenta up a pound or two each. Also, your fat storage goes up about 8 pounds. After baby is born, the weight usually comes off naturally. Breastfeeding can help as well. I won't say it will because for some women, it doesn't because their appetite increases and they don't lose weight from bf.

@breloya, @2-mommies, how did you ladies do it? I’ve read 25-35 pounds are fluid alone..

I gained 100 pounds and have lost 60 so far and my baby will be 4 months old tomorrow so don't let it stress you out.

I gained about 70 with my first and a week after her birth, had already lost 32 pounds. 2 weeks, I was down 40. Don't stress too much or put yourself down over numbers.
