@shylamarie, I don’t have it. I’m talking to my mom and trying to take to my boyfriend but he just keeps me reminding me that I’m not being affectionate enough with him..

@caityyy_lynnn, getting help is definitely a good thing. I don't have the time or money for a therapist, so I have to rely on myself.

But if you have it and can help, you should!

We’re you able to talk to your OB today?

Talking to your dr is the first step. Call them up voice your concerns. They will fit you in before your appt. I had PPD so bad with my third. I waited too long to tell someone. Start going on little walks. Even if it’s around the block make yourself go. Start to some light stretches. Take moments for yourself (even if there in the shower). Don’t neglect yourself care.

@caityyy_lynnn I'm sorry. 😔 he should realize your going through a rough time and help you. Have you sat down and talked about everything? Just to reassure him that you still love him and it's common to get depressed.

I started walking around the block. And then once I was comfortable with the walk I'd make it longer. Being at home all the time was making me miserable. But just a walk around the block lifted that heavy fog away from me.

Counseling, getting out of the house and just spending time with loved ones really helped me❤

Alone time/ a break, doing things u use to like/ love, treating yourself, aromatherapy, talking to your doctor. Going outside is one of my favorite things to do. Playing your favorite music (show/ movies too) even if its just in the background helps. Prayer.

Call your OB in the morning. There’s no shame in asking the staff for local resources. The important part is you’re reaching out for help. Adjusting to motherhood is tough! The OB Staff should be able to help you even if your appointment isn’t for another couple weeks.

@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, they do but it’s only on the first and 3rd Friday every month. I don’t see my OB till the 4th.. I can probably talk to the LC when I see her on Wednesday

Hobbies, talk to your doctor and get on medication or just talk to your doctor about options if you don't want pills. I have issues anyways before getting pregnant and wasn't taking pills for like 3 years and I legit need them so I hopped on the bandwagon to take care of my problems before my son gets here. I'm honestly better with meds. But hobbies definitely help too. As well as sleep and help from family for sure <3 we are all here if you need to talk

Contact your OB and discuss how you’re feeling. Unfortunately the only resources I have are local, and I don’t think you want to drive 6 hours to where I live (although it is pretty!). Talking to your OB about how things are going is the best bet. You can also see if there are local mom-and-me groups that you can meet up with. Check your local hospital if there are any meet ups for new moms.

Talk about your feelings. Never hold them in. If you are ever feeling bad, talk to someone you trust and explain how you are feeling. Talking it out can do wonders!
