Question/Rant:
Has anyone extended their hand out to help someone only to regret having done so? Is there a polite way of declining to ever help again without being mean? I’m the person that hates saying no and turning people away but.... ugh!!!!! I agreed to watch the daughter of my husbands coworkers this weekend while they went to a wedding out of state. To start off were a lot of issues leading up to this weekend all dealing with them and how vague the details were that they’d give us. Getting information about what and when etc was like pulling teeth. Then came the day they were going to leave and they just show up 2 1/2 hours early without warning and then hang around my house that I didn’t have time to clean. I could get into their kids behavior but she’s 5 and I know some kids just act out when parents aren’t around so I’ll just blow over that. Fast forward to today and literally the exact time that I’m expecting them to come pick her up they text to say that there was an “emergency” (it was never stated what the emergency was) and they missed their flight. Now because it’s a weekend leading up to a holiday they can’t get a flight until Tuesday unless they switch airlines. It’s already been 3 days. My daughters have school both Monday and Tuesday. I have to get ready for Thanksgiving. Plus, at 5 years of age, the two younger kids are starting to get sick of each other. I really don’t know what to do. If I was leaving my kids with someone who wasn’t family, I would make sure that person had my flight numbers, phone number for the hotel, and whatever else I could possibly think of. And if for some reason something like this happened, I would be apologizing up and down for the inconvenience. Not mention, probably spending the money to switch airlines so I could get home to my children. Am I crazy? Is it just me? Am I expecting too much from people?
I feel better knowing it’s not just me over reacting. I ended up sending them a text message letting them know that we would need to have a sit down conversation when they come to pick her up because I ‘had some issues with what went down this weekend’. I also sent a pic of my last grocery receipt with the items highlighted I bought specifically for their daughter because they said she liked those things and she took one bite of everything and never touched it again then complained the whole time about being hungry. I told them that she wouldn’t eat any of it and since I don’t normally buy these things I would like for them to reimburse me for those items because it feels like a huge waste of money on my part. I will definitely not be doing this every again and I imagine they won’t take kindly to that but f-it.
Lord no.. I used to babysit for a lady and she would leave her son at my house for days and not reply to my texts or call me or anything.. I was like...... "DO YOU NOT WANT YOUR KID BACK?!" I would sell my kidney to get a new flight to get to my son.. That's ridiculous that they're just expecting you to deal with it with no sort of apology or anything
thats crazy...sorry your going through that especially when thabksgiving is a few days away... maybe your being way to nice.. in this situation i wouldnt babysit again
TWW!!

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
