Since she is a newborn it is hard to keep then full. They got through cluster feeding back to back. They are used to eating around the clock in the womb.

@beemommyof3, I understand the cluster feeding but it’s killing my nipples when she’s staying on for as long as she is and when I don’t hear her swallowing, I try to give her a pacifier and then she just starts crying.

I understand. Trust me My daughter had tongue and lip tie. I was completely miserable for 2 months. My nipples bled and were scabbed over and cracked but she could take a bottle. I just pushed though. She still has a shallow latch and my chest is still sore 7 months later but hey I'm almost to my goal.

@beemommyof3, I want to keep pushing through but not even nipple cream seems to be working to help sooth them. It also doesn’t help that she has a poor latch that I can’t seem to help with.. I just don’t know if I can do these cluster feedings every night.

Girl I get it. Truly I do. Maybe you can pump and do a feeding and then nurse the next time to give yourself a break but what i noticed was the more I tried to avoid breastfeeding the worse it got. it got worse before it got better for sure. It was terrible pain and I had to give myself a pep talk before even letting her latch.

When this happened to me doctor suggested a pacifier. I know some people don't agree but for me and my nipple it was a life saver. Sometimes they just want to suck.

@beemommyof3, that’s what it’s turned into for me. I tell myself it’s best and just try to deal with it..@bperrier, sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t..
