It's unsafe to take laxatives while pregnant. It can cause your baby to poop in the womb. If the baby swallows it's poop it can be very harmful or can cause death. I know someone who took a laxative to induce labor and the end result was her baby passed away. Other people I know have taken a laxative to induce labor and their babies were just fine. Just depends.
