I am so heart broken right now. My sweet baby girl was whisked away from me and take to an adjoining children's hospital because she is having issues keeping her blood sugar up. I feel so hopeless because MY body did this to her. We had a few hours with her before they decided to transfer her, and now we can go over and see her when ever but because she has the belly button iv I cannot pick her up and hold her....all I can do is put my finger in her hand and talk to her as comforting as I can muster up. Any who. Baby girl was born 11-11-17 @ 11:36 pm 10 lbs 5.7 oz and 20 and a half inchs long. My favorite pic so far is the one of her and my hubby. ❤😍😖 please get better baby girl!! Mommy, and daddy love you SO very much.
@jdgregg, thanks for responding, yes i've been following the diet, and monitoring my sugars. they have been ok in the range. i'm trying my best to keep it safe especially with twins, i have two to worry about 🤦🏽♀️
@mommy2bee2 I have preexisting diabetes. And yes this can happen with gestational diabetes too. Keep you sugar in check and maybe you won't have to worry about them adding more meds or higher doses of your meds.
if you don't mind me asking, did you have gestational diabetes with the pregnancy ? asking because i have it, and the doctors warned me the babies' blood sugars could drop as a result of it, just wondering if this was similar 🙁
I'm so sorry!! Don't stress she will do just fine!! 10 lbs !! Big and healthy!!! 😍😍
@mommy2bee2 they didn't warn me of anything other than my diabetes could and probably would result in her being big. She was 10lbs and 5.6 oz. 20.5 inches long. On the bright side, that's the quickest I have ever dropped 10lbs AND once the baby is stable with the sugars, there's pretty much nothing else that needs to be done until later on in life if you have a family history of diabetes.
