Due date is Tuesday, no sign of baby being ready. Doctor wants to start talking about induction on Thursday. A little scared of induction, any advice?
I also had something else to help me dilate faster which it was messing with my sons heart beat so they had to stop it for awhile . Didn't make things go any faster but caused de-stress to my son.
I didn't have an infection it was just in case I would get one because I was in labor for over 39+ hours.
Oh I never had the group b strep. But I did have the penicillin to kill an infection because I was in labor for so long and I wasn't dilate fast enough. Plus after they puked a hole to induce me so I'd slowly leak (which it came out as soon as I sat up) I got the epidural and my contractions wasn't so bad before it kicked in. It just depends on your body and how fast everything goes.
I have to have an IV with penicillin for the group B strep so I was just a little afraid of how that would effect it and I just heard it makes the contractions worse and labor last longer. @vegasmomma, @kasonsmama,
I had an induction with my first. I had to be on a magnesium drip for preeclampsia which counteracted the petocin so it took way longer than it should have..but other than that it was a breeze! Nothing to be worried about!
I went into labor a day before I was supposed to be induced . . Sadly I was only leaking and had to be induced . It's not as bad as you're making it be. But your water comes out super fast . I remember when I sat up for my epidural it went every where. I felt like I was peeing but it just kept coming and coming. I felt so bad for my nurse but I was in labor for 39+ hours. Just depends . My one friend was induced and had her baby 10 minutes later. Good luck!
I was induced and i swear it was my bad once I got up to 7 centimeters i was done for. In lots of pain but that was my first labor and I thought being induced would be way worse
