Should i wake my sleeping new born? Hes 5 days old and has been sleeping around 5 hours ive tried to gradually wake him by rubbing his back he wakes up for a minute but then passes back out. Do I let him sleep or make him wake up?

Yes wake him. They should eat every 2 to 3 hrs until the pediatrician gives the okay to feed on demand, usually when they gain their birth weight back. I usually change mine before feeding because the cold air will wake him.
