I haven’t celebrated the holidays in almost 3 years because of the loss of my uncle who was my best friend on Christmas Eve. The holidays have been dark for me and my family isn’t in Arizona to celebrate with me since his passing. I’m excited this year to find the magic again for our daughter and to start new traditions with her. It’s been sort of freeing to be able to let go of the sadness, and although I will never ever stop grieving or crying alone in my car ... I can find hope with her enjoying this time of year as much as I used to.
