Anyone have tips on relieving migraines? I’m dying over here 😢
@housewifelife, ok I will do some research ! Thank you for your help
@ttbaby09, darn hormones! Some essential oils are in the list to help migraines like rosemary are supposed to help but you are supposed to avoid that one when you are pregnant so if you look up certain oils make sure you can try them when pregnant. Lavender is safe.
@ttbaby09 it's supposed to work almost instantly ! Probably 10 mins max
@housewifelife, I will def give oils a try. It only happens when I’m pregnant. I was pregnant a couple of months ago had the same pain in the same exact spot. I ended up having a miscarriage and the pain went away. Now that I’m pregnant again the pain is back! So I’m thinking it may be hormonal smh
If it’s just on one side could be because something is out of whack. Have you tried iceon your neck and heat on that spot ?
I have a lot of back problems and fascia issues so chiropractor and massage therapy are my life line especially when I was pregnant! They could definitely be hormonal but also when you are pregnant because of your hormones your joints and ligaments start to loosen to prepare for labor but that also means you could be out of alignment and pinching nerves.
Definitely give some essential oils a try though!
@housewifelife, it’s on just the left side of my head behind my eye ball smh
@housewifelife, girl I don’t even know what types of different migraines there are lol. I’m scared to go to the chiropractor I’ve heard too many horror stories lmao
@ttbaby09, if they are tension headaches some pressure points like one at the base of your skull on your neck can give you some relief as well. Sorry for blowing up your feed lol
@ttbaby09, I hope you find some relief! I know I’m miserable and usually bed ridden when I have full blown migraines
@ttbaby09, another thing that could be a factor that helped me a lot during my pregnancy with migraines was going to the chiropractor. Instant relief when my neck and back were out of whack. I also use essential oils to help. Eucalyptus, peppermint and lavender can help
@housewifelife, I usually take Naproxen and it helps out a lot. but I can’t take that while pregnant. I’m trying to do natural remedies . I only get these migraines when I’m pregnant so idk if it’s a hormonal thing but it’s killing my soul right now.!!
I suffer from migraines and the only thing that has helped me is a medicine called Maxalt that you take when it starts. If it’s something you deal with a lot then I would definitely ask your doctor about it! It’s been a lifesaver for me
@jsco, really?? Is this instant relief or do I need to spend a certain amount of time in the water? And how long does the relief last? 🤔
Put your hands and feet in hot water and an ice pack on the back of your neck
@ttbaby09, of course!
