I guess now is the time to kinda just vent. Had an ultrasound and appointment earlier with baby doctors, I'm 36 weeks and found out I'm probably gonna be seeing my baby sooner than expected! Due to low fluid if I don't go in first they will probably choose to induce me before I make it to 40 weeks. They said they only let fluid get to about 5 before inducing and mine is already only around 6. They want to try to get me past 37 weeks and they have started scheduling me for non stress tests and want to see me at least 2 times a week. Passed the first non stress test earlier. Also my baby is only approximately 4lb 15oz so far but healthy and I myself am only around 5ft 1in and a few pounds shy of 100 so I have always been tiny. I was a 6lb 10oz baby but her dad was only 5lb 5oz at birth. I'm honestly not sure how to feel or what to expect, I'm anxious about everything. This is also my first baby! If anyone has any advice or anything please feel free to message or comment because I'd love to hear everyone's opinions and everything, I'm literally always constantly on Google over everything lol.

Anyone know what kind of risks there are to being induced early? I've looked it up and kinda seen it go both ways.. I'm not totally sure what to think from it.

I was induced at 38/1 (I have very high fluid levels) had him 38/4 via csection. He was 6lbs and my recover was awesome! The first few days are hell then you feel like a new person within a week or two. I had a quicker recovery than my friend who had a vaginal birth 👍🏻 my son did awesome and just went to NICU for about two or three hours to monitor everything since he was c section. ☺️ I was in recovery for that long so it worked out great and my husband was able to stay with him

@samanthaadennison depending on your doctor they usually start out with a pill, or a gel they put on your cervix to try and start the process, then they'll switch to pitocin (which is an IV) and then it's basically up to your body!

@jsco thank you so much, I honestly don't know much about any of what will happen since I've never experienced it before. I have no idea about the process of what they would do to induce me or anything or even chances of not making it that far if water would break itself. It's scary in a way and makes me nervous but in the end I've always wanted a little girl and I will finally have her when it's all over with one way or the other...

I was told I should deliver at 39 weeks with my first due to low fluid and a few other things but they monitored me enough to where they let me go to 40 weeks exactly. My son was born at 5lbs 11oz, which was bigger than I was at birth (I was also 5lbs 5oz like your partner), and bigger than my dad who was born at 37 weeks (5lbs 6oz). Sometimes people have small babies. Both of my children have measured small on ultrasounds. My second guy was born at 29 weeks and they only thought he would be 1lb 2oz but he came out at 2lbs 1oz, so ultrasounds can be wrong in predicting size.

I was induced! Not for low fluids, but for other problems and everything went well. I was induced at exactly 37 weeks, unfortunately my son was not quite ready to be born, although he was a big healthy baby he was in pediatrics for a few days because of severe jaundice and had eating problems.

My induction took forever lol I was on basically a constant stream of pitocin for 36 hours until I finally went into labor. But I pushed my son out in 5 minutes!

If you have any questions about anything feel free to message me!

Starting TWW. Anyone else?

Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!

I told my friend my mom wants to throw me a baby shower and write on the invite "monetary gifts only" and he told me that people aren't trying to pay for my "gas bill" I'm offended because a lot of money goes into a baby shower, and if you're gonna give me a 10$ blanket from Ross that I probably won't even use it's a waste. I rather use those 10$ for my honest company diaper subscription.
