Mommies...when do you plan on letting your little ones sleep in their crib?
1st one i moved her to crib when she outgrew bassinet, about 3-4 months i guess. Plan on doing same with 2nd one
You're welcome! Good luck. You may not get much sleep yourself the first few nights....my sister got this pad thing that goes under the mattress and is supposed to work like the Owlet sock, keeping track of baby's movements and sounding an alarm if it doesn't sense anything for whatever amount of time.
@nomli, yea I have one too! I’m going to go on and try it! Thanks so much for all your advice!
@nieshia1318 I never let my babies sleep in there own bassinet or crib. I'm tO scared of SIDS.. I heard alot about crib death😢 but my babies are 2 and 3 now they sleep in there own bed
@nieshia1318, we slept in same room as my son and he slept in crib day 1 just only have mattress and fitted shit and that’s it he will be two in January and keep a monitor in room
Hahaha. Google will always give you the worst case scenario. Always.
We had a video monitor, there's only a (thin) wall between his crib and our headboard, and he was still waking up to eat through the night. Oh man, the first time he slept through the night I freaked out. Like, rushing into his room, "Omg is he okay?!?" Even worse, my fiance was away for work, and I was alone with the baby for the first time.
@mommysbabies, he sleeps pretty much thru the night! I think that’s why I want to attempt so early.
When she starts to sleep through the night since my kids will be sharing a room
@nomli, got you! He’s only 2 months but I’m really anxious to try it! I’ve did research and it did nothing but scare me mentioning SIDS and stuff 😬
Put my baby girl in her crib after her 6 month check up and got the ok from the doc.. She took to it effortlessly...started with naps for a while then did night time.
Granted, his crib is also right next to my side of the bed, so technically hes still right next to me all night haha.
Yes. For the first few weeks he slept next to us in a bassinet, and then I guess either my newborn haze faded or he got noisier in his sleep, but if he was in the room I wouldn't get any sleep. (I'm a super light sleeper and every time he moved I'd wake up. Either he'd talk in his sleep or the rustling of his clothes would wake me.)
For my daughter, probably at least after she stops spitting up so much. My son pretty much slept with my husband and I until he was almost 1 yr old.
@nomli, ugh I need one of those lol
