If I go overdue an have to be induced can I refuse being induced an have c-section instead ? (I was induced with my first baby an it all failed and ended up with very horrible traumatic birth)
Considering your previous delivery and your experience if you go over you can choose not to get induced and request a c section in them circumstances considering you was under a consultant you might have to push if a bit but you have to do what's best for you and your baby, best of speaking to your midwife but you're more than likely to go into labour naturally with your second without being induced xx
@noshinxoxo, @gabilicious, I've been under a consultant the whole way thru my pregnancy, it was only last week he discharged me an said he's happy for me to deliver on the mlu ward if that's what I wanted but if not I'm allowed to go straight to delivery, I want a natural birth more then anything but only if it happens naturally, after being induced last time I strongly don't believe in it no more... my labour was horrible I didn't have c-section but my daughter had to literally be pulled out off me at the end I hate even thinking an talking at all about her labour, I am literally terrified about being induced again xx
Was your first a c-section? If so you should be seen by a consultant as your second is so soon after the first. If not then speak to your midwife about your birth plan, ask if this is an option available to you and also as mentioned by others you can choose to just not be induced.
Well if u already had a c-section you would been given an option of having one instead of normal birth x but if u haven't then u can't chose to have one instead of being induced x but if the midwifes/doctors think u need one then they will let you know x best thing to do is speak to a midwife about your concerns and options x
@gabilicious, I'm hoping so! I'm just staying positive that she will come naturally even if she goes a few days over due haha got to stay positive 🤞🏽❤ x
