@mamaways, I couldnt dialate past 1.5 cm and I kept gushing water and losing water , so the doctor inserted the balloon device and I dilated to 5 cm in 2 hours , I coughed or sneezed and the balloon shot out lol !!!! Then the contractions kicked in but I wouldn’t dilate so they gave me pitocin . Long story short I couldn’t dilated past 7 cm and my daughter wanted out ! so they made a second degree cut and I gave birth
@mamaways just felt a lot of pressure behind my cervix I tried to do it without meds but ended up getting meds through my iv which made me sleepy. They told me every 30mins they would have to pull on it to make my cervix open until it came out but after my first 30mins it popped out so it wasn't bad at all! Thats just my experience though
@mamaways, my doctor told me it’s basically a cathedor they put into the cervix to help start opening the cervix past a 3 or 4..
I will be having that done tomorrow morning before my dose of pitocin....
I got mine put in after 36 hours of pitocin. I had only dilated to 2cm so it was a last resort before csection. And let me tell you!! I went to a 6 in 40 mins. My contractions were so fucking bad lol. Getting it inserted did not hurt at all. But it definitely does it's job
