So I'm breast feeding and my 2 day old had a bad latch earlier on in feeding attempts. After meeting with the consultant in the hospital, we were trying nipple shields over my nipple since they are flat, but it's too late and my nipples hurt at every feeding. Consultants In the hospital basically said to tough it out. Anyone with a similar experience or advice?
Yes basically coming from experience I exclusively breastfed for 3 years you have to feed even when your nipples are cracked and bleeding!
i like breastfeeding dont get me wrong but the scabs on my nipples are painful i have no support or help IM TIRED OF TALKING TO LACTATION CONSULTANTS BECAUSE... I CAN'T GET A DAMN PUMP IM ANNOYED THAT I CANT FEED MY DAMN BABY
calling all mommies who are breast feeding or excessively pumping .. how did you all do it ?? I know some people pump right in the hospital day 1 !! I know my hospitals here allows you to pump from day 1 and breast feed at the same time they just give you a breast consultant to explain and show you how so you don’t mess up and get a over supply to soon . Some people only breast feed for awhile than pump 1/2 later . Some only pump period ... what’s your method and how successful are you ?? And how tough was it in the beginning ??
All breast feeding mommas.. I need advice on how to help ease the boob pain.. My left nipple, the whole nipple is killing me. I feel like I have 200 needles going into it. 24/7. My right boob is perfectly fine, just my left. Anything to help??
Update Today my blood pressure was 158/94 and 140/101 for the second reading so they called the hospital to tell them I'll be on my way for induction. Currently sitting at my house just freaking out but about to head to the hospital.

I'm in the very same situation. Honestly, some days are better than others. It's not easy and it hurts like hell some days. But do your best to keep at it, it's definitely worth it. Try pumping if you're able, I sometimes find it to be less painful.
