My husband cried and said he can't love me the way I want him to

Huh? In what way is he not able to love you? He can't support you emotionally? Help you with his child? Share in fun times and bad? Rub your back when you need it? These are all normal relationship things that both of you should do with each other. No excuses should be made.

@kambam he's very bad at showing affection and gratitude. He was very badly abused by his mother growing up so he's always had a negative view on women. He's not abusive or anything, just distant. I knew what I was getting into when I married him. He's in therapy and takes medication to try and help him. Last night was one of the first times I've seen him cry in a very long time. He told me he wants to get more help so he can support me emotionally and be "normal" it's just going to be a long process.

Oh well I totally get that. I'm always told in the same way in relationships. He needs you and loves you though. If he's the same way as me I know for a fact. It can be hard to deal with for sure.

My child's father did the same because guys just show love differently, but we can't expect them to act like us (Women) because we are much more emotional creatures. Sometimes we may not feel loved because they don't show love like we do, and sometimes like we women, and men get in an argument the man may wanna go cool off by himself, but the woman may wanna talk right away. You can walk away from the situation if you don't feel like you are being loved like you wanna be or you can take him as he is, and just believe that he loves you, but you don't have to end it, but maybe he just needs to learn how to show it better because he can learn, and I'm sure he will learn if he really loves you enough to fix it. Relationships are 50/50 and you have to do things to make both of you happy in the relationship.

@mommiepaulie oh I definitely love him too much to end it. He's been trying to fix things since our son was born so I know he's trying, and he wants to get even more help. It's just a tiring process
