How do you handle a crazy dog and a newborn baby? My boyfriend got a puppy last year and failed to train him. We also have two other dogs (they are trained) This puppy is constantly running around, barking, jumping all over me begging for food. I don’t know how i’m going to handle him when the baby is here

How old is the puppy? You can still break habits with consistency between the two of you and positive reinforcement.

@milky_mama2017, trying! my boyfriend knows he’s a bad dog when he’s not home and says he will do something about it. then the weekend comes and he acts fine because he’s afraid of him so he thinks he’s a good dog. I’m the only home with the dogs so it’s all on me.

Thats not good that the dog is afraid of him, one day he will attack because of that and he cant just try to train him on weekends. It takes repetition they are like babies, they dont come out just knowing what to do. Dont hit, tell him no show him what he's doing wrong, if you have a cage put him in there when he does something wrong

Look up videos on YouTube to train your pup, remember spanking is not how you train a dog . Which I hope your bf hasn't been doing. You don't want the dog to fear you just like you wouldn't want your baby to fear you .

I’m in the exact boat as you are!!!! My dog is such a pain when my bf isn’t here. My dog is scared of him and behaves so well for him. As soon as he leaves, she barks up a storm etc

Ah okay! You just have to be patient and the boyfriend has to be on the same page with training. Mine learned with firm "No's" when they were doing wrong and treats when they did the right thing. Mine are 10, 6, and 5 now and we just trained them not to enter the dining room when people are eating at the table since they like to beg for food and it went fairly easily so habits can be broken any time...just with consistency and patience.
