So my one year old daughter was jay sleeping and woke up choking and not breathing. I turned her over and started smacking her back and I stuck my finger down her throat. She’s fine now but was super stiff and was trying to beat he but couldn’t. She has a lot of mucous in her throat. The people at urgent care told me it was a respiratory infection and gave me medicine which hasn’t been working. What do I do if this happens again tonight ?? What should I do ?? I’m taking her to the doctors office tomorrow. I thought I was gonna loose my daughter tonight.

I think a vaporizer would help it did with us when she was stuffed up
@kclaireeabbey, we were in a car so I panicked obviously I didn't have anything that could help so I just patted her back and stuck my fingers in her mouth like you did as well so she can try to puke it out atleast
Have you tried using steam in a hot shower or a humidifier to help her breath a little better? I do that with mine when they seen to be congested
That happened to my daughter I freaked out but it's like us when we get all that mucous but we can get rid of it they don't quite know yet so they need the help
@kclaireeabbey, it's one of those booger sucker think he's the hospital ones are the best ones but you can buy them at any other baby store around.
