all i know is i don't want to be induced. i heard it hurts. id rather the baby be a week early

Oh and PS - yeah giving birth is HARD (and scary - I was so scared). But it's also pretty amazing. You're going to experience your body producing a miracle. It's surreal. So as painful and scary as it can be, the process is also amazing. I wasn't expecting that part - i was so PROUD of myself when they finally put that baby on me. You're gonna do great!

@lavender13, the pushing for me didn't even take 5 min. I pushed twice I think. But I was like you I didn't want to get the epidural at first. I kept telling my husband no I don't want it while I was in labor. But it got to the point where I was in intense pain. I personally couldn't sit still but could hardly more that the same time the pain was so bad. I was so tensed up I wasn't dilating so I decided i would go ahead and get it. I'm personally very happy I did, otherwise I probably would of had a csection.

I have a low pain tolerance too so try not to over think it

@rikki.ferguson, my first as well. everyone is so excited for me and i just like pregnancy and raising the child. the giving birth part im not excited about 😅

I was induced and it ended up being a very long process because they couldn't get me to dilate. But once I had the epidural it was a lot better (and they numb you when they put it in so really no pain!). Honestly, even though it was exhausting and I really wanted to go into labor naturally, the nice thing was there was no stress. I didn't suddenly go into labor in the night and have to rush to the hospital or have contractions for days or anything. I just got myself ready, went to the hospital, and got things going. Just remember that HOWEVER your baby comes out, at the end you'll have your baby and it'll be worth it. Childbirth is hard no matter how it happens but the end result is worth it. Hang in there! @mommysbabies, ohh okay they take from my arm..my boyfriend worries about childbirth being too much for me just as i do. i suppose i just worry more as time goes by

@lavender13 lol well I've only experienced birth once and I was induced so I have nothing else to compare it to. I worried about EVERYTHING about giving birth but it really was an amazing experience.

@lavender13, I had mine in my arm trust me I hate needles by the time I left the hospital I had 15 needle marks because I got admitted the weekend before I gave birth and they had issues starting the Ivs and drawing blood I looked like a dam junkie but I had complications to the point I’m done having kids I put their life and my life at risk when I’m pregnant you can ask them to put iv in arm instead of hand I know the hand hurts only place they can draw my blood is in my hand

@carrsonsmommy, thats true if the baby has already grown enough to come out. but hopefully i can stay more relaxed. i just don't want the pushing part to take too long

I was induced. I had an epidural tho i was having horrible back labor and couldn't relax enough to dilate. Once I got the epidural I was about to relax and dilated. I was in labor for about 25 hours. Being induced isn't that bad. My son was already 8lbs 4oz I couldn't imagine letting him go for another week if he went that long.

You may not get to skip iv if you have a long labor you will need it because you can’t eat

@mommysbabies, okay i hope not. it's just i already plan on going without an epidural so the less pain the better..i don't like getting shots n wouldn't want an iv in

I was induced with both no epidural only iv pain meds my first I had more pain meds my second I was able to breath through most of my contractions I only got one dose of meds I promise if you need to be which was my case it’s not that bad
