Is it safe to give a 2 year old Motrin or should I stick with tylenol?
Like @erinflaherty818 said. You can alternate the two, motrin & tylenol. Also do keep a thermometer with you at all time. I keep one in my purse lol (I know I am an extra mom hahaha) But I hope your princess gets better!! 🌸
@beebaby, nothing wrong with that :) you're a great asset to this community regardless!
Thanks ladies. My daughter woke up miserable and before bed I swore she felt like she had fever but I can't always tell by feel and I didn't have a thermometer. My dad felt and didn't think she did but when she woke up miserable and I still felt like she was hot I decided a trip to get one and get something to bring it down was necessary. Idk what's wrong but I'm going to check her temp and if it's high I will call hee do or when it opens
@beebaby, you're awesome, I can't believe you're not a mombassador yet! ❤️
Motrin is fine. You can alternate it with Tylenol if baby needs more pain relief.
@maxx Tylenol and Motrin/Ibuprofen can be given on an alternating schedule. Tylenol every four hours and Ibuprofen every six hours. But using them together you want to give each dose three hours apart regardless of which med you start with. And babies can start on Motrin at 6 months old. Hope this helps and good luck with the little one.
