@simplyshantell around here all the roads are crazy. I think everyone is leaving now. All the gas stations are packed with lines and some even don't have anymore gas. It's pretty crazy. I'm planning on leaving this morning.

@nicolem10021 So far, hurricane Allen takes the record at 190 mph winds. This one is def a force to be reckoned with, but its also the type of hurricane that will bring extreme winds and tornadoes with it instead of excessively extreme amounts of water. It originated in Cape verde, most hurricanes that originate there are harshly wind based storms. For sure it will bring rain but i'm a lot more concerned about wind force. I'm interested to see tomorrow morning where the heck its going to go. Whether it will follow the european model, or the eastern model. So far, we have a 30% chance of being hit, miami with an 80% chance. I'd say evacuate, ESP if you are in a flood zone. Pack up and go north asap if tomorrows news isnt good.

Either way, a category 4 storm is no joke and I would if I could. You never know and can't predict weather like that as much as they'd like to. Harvey dumped much more rain than anticipated so you can't tell until it's too late. I'd definitely go.

Tampa wont be directly hit by the storm as of yet, however we will be feeling the hurricane force winds. They have already concluded this storm is not comparable to harvey in any way, that is especially true when it comes to the amount of rain expected from Irma, which will supposedly be farrrrrrr less than Harvey. Im talking a small fraction of what Harvey let down. The main concern with Irma is the wind and surge as well as tornadoes it will probably be packing with it. If you feel as if you can gear down and protect yourself against the winds and you are not in a flood zone they are saying not to evacuate at this point. If you feel as if you can't sustain those winds safely in your location and are in a flood zone, it is advised that you begin evacuating. Its a scary storm! Its not even here and its really windy and stormy out where im at, and this is unrelated to it. I cant imagine how bad its going to be. Definetly board your house up if you havent done so already and make sure you have enough water and food. @nicolem10021

You should! 180 mph winds can take down your home. Go somewhere and be safe
