I really need help getting my daughter off breastfeeding. Such a sad emotional strain when she has to cry herself to sleep :( please help
@carusod91, I was kidding about jealousy, don’t you see smiles ))). Take it easy and be happy
@ilonatahhan, what exactly is there to be jealous of ? My child is breast fed too so you make no sense. Looks like you WANT people jealous of you to boost your poor self esteem. The only difference between you and I is that I don’t act superior just because a child drinks milk. You need to be more respectful of what other posters decide to do. You don’t know their life or what’s going on.
@carusod91, don’t be jealous))) my daughter is gonna always remember breastfeeding and when she grow and have her kids, she will pass it to them. Also it’s a big plus for me as mother. Prolonged breastfeeding had a lot of benefits. Even prevent Alzheimer in the future and a lot more. If you quit breastfeeding around 1 year it should be a good reason. Even if you work you still can breastfeed in the morning and night. But it’s up to you anyway.
@ilonatahhan, sure. But why would you be sad? A lot of kids stop by 1 year and grow up perfectly fine. Your 4 year old daughter isn’t going to be any better off compared to other children just because you’re still breastfeeding her.
@carusod91, sorry but nothing can replace moms breast and feeling of protection.
Really sad for you daughter, my daughter is 4 and she still occasionally breastfeeding
