Ladies my 2 week old is exclusively breast fed and he's been spitting up lately. As far as the w.i.c has told me, you can't over feed a breast fed baby. But I feel like i might be over feeding him?? Any advice
Same happened with my daughter and she stopped spitting up after 2 months . But if it'll ease your mind to hear it from a doctor then do make a appointment 🙂
Plus the nose and throat is connected. But in newborns it's closer together so it's more common for a reflux baby. Every baby is different.
@lezlie527, they didn't give me anything they just said to keep him upright after feeding. It passed on its own after 2-3 months
@alekismyworld can he take anything for it, or is it something that will pass as he gets older.
That happened to my son, they're just gonna tell you it's reflux.
@kambam I'm making an appointment with his pediatrician tomorrow
@alekismyworld I'm calling his pediatrician tomorrow, he just barfed up so much it started coming out his nose..and he was gasping for air, it was a lot of throw up. This never happend with my daughter so I'm kinda freaking out a bit..
It's fine my son used to have streams coming out of his nose and mouth at the same time occasionally. It will pass
Oh ok. Yea could be something else then. Always good to rule out something serious
@kambam I do burp him and hold him up right after every feeding. He doesn't spit up right away. I'll be done feeding him, and a hour later he spits up.
Try laying on your back to nurse or side. Worked wonders. She only spits up occasionally now
@b3autymarkk23 yes I do, it hard to burp him. Sometime I'll be at it for 30 mins and nothing.
@beebaby I can hear him chugging, so maybe that could be it too. Idk at this point..
Burp, hold upright after feeding. Still super young it can be normal. Mine stopped spitting up extra bm around 2m.
@mommysbabies my son grunts a lot, I'm thinking it's just him since he does it all the time. When we move him, hold him. When he wakes up. But now that you mentioned reflux. That could be it..im going to call his pediatrician and ask what it could be.
I'm going through same thing with my daughter but she has reflux and is on Zantac
Quick question to breast feeding mum i would like to breast feed my baby when she comes as I’ve never really breast fed my other 2, is it uncomfortable also how is pumping out milk????? For bottle feeds is the pump uncomfortable... I would normally just breast feed and not pump when home but I do drive so when I’m out and can’t stop I’ll have to use a bottle...I remember trying to breast feed my youngest and I keeped getting milk ducts why was that??? I think that’s why I gave up as I was scared...
Just curious who breastfed & who bottle fed :) I’m going to bottle feed even though I have been told endless of times breast is best! But wondering what’s popular, what do you all prefer? :) xx
I'm not planning to breast feed but would you ladies recommend breast feeding for the first time or straight onto bottles? Everyone keeps telling me different and I need advice! 😓
Breast feeding is a full time job I really want to give up already 😢
Do you eat a lot of dairy?
